From the sound project, I learned how sound can completely change a story. Even without seeing anything, you can still imagine what’s happening just by the sounds. I learned about Foley techniques and how to make sounds from random objects to bring scenes to life.
Sound Project #1:
For the first sound project we had to tell a story using only sound. No talking or visuals, just Foley and editing to make it feel real. My partners and I made a story about a man walking through the jungle who ends up getting attacked by a tiger.
During brainstorming, we wrote down all the sounds we’d need. Like footsteps, birds, leaves, and the tiger growling. We tried to think about what would make it feel like you were really in a jungle. The outline helped us plan the order so the story made sense, and then we recorded everything, edited, and layered the sounds.
I think we did a good job making it feel real and easy to imagine. The whole project sounded full of life, like how a jungle would sound, and the attack at the end felt intense, which was our goal. Next time, I’d work on making the transitions smoother and perfecting my Foley techniques.

Sound Project #2:
Me and my partner had to add sounds to our One Word Film. During brainstorming, we made a list of all the sounds we’d need, like background noises, small details, and anything that would help set the mood.
We planned how to layer the sounds so everything would feel realistic and fit together. Then we recorded or found the sounds online and edited them into the film.
I think we did a good job making the soundscape feel full and real. The layering made the story easier to follow and added mood to the film. Next time, I’d work on making the timing and transitions even smoother.
